A study made in Stanford suggested that caffeine could counteract the chemical reactions that trigger the inflammation over time.

  • It may protect you against Alzheimer's Disease

But of course, ladies and gentleman, it goes hand-in-hand with healthy lifestyle in general. Though, studies have shown that coffee drinkers may have up to 65% lower risk of Alzheimer's disease!

  • Makes you happier and can fight depression

More and more people are becoming depressed and the 'trend' is unfortunately on the incline which pushed Harvard scientists to carry out a study in 2011 that pointed out that women who drink 4 or more cups of coffee a day are 20% lower risk of becoming depressed.

  • Can lower the risk of certain types of cancer

More specifically, liver and colorectal cancer.

Good, high-quality coffee can be truly magical and one of the easiest ways to biohack yourself… BUT (yep, here's the notorious 'but'...) drinking bad coffee can have the opposite effect

How and why?

 

  • When its has mycotoxins in it, it can cause kidney damage, hypertension and so on

Mycotoxins are found in mold that can grow on low-quality coffee beans and are the main reason for many health problems related to coffee! Because of many big (you could also say very money-oriented) coffee- factories don't pay enough attention to it, coffee has easily become one of the largest sources of mycotoxins in the food supply.

  • Extra bad news are the cheap coffees and different coffee blends and, *cough* instant *cough* coffee (Is it still considered as coffee, though??) because of the obvious reasons, e.g. coffee blends mix different coffees (usually including the more 'moldy' ones).
